August Meetup: News and Youse
We've had a steady run of meetups on a given Topic at leedsjs. I thought for this month I'd cut myself and all of you some slack and make it more of a Stone Soup kind of gathering. What do you want to talk about? I'd like to invite everyone (invite, not compel) to talk for a few minutes about something javascripty you are working on, a tough problem, a cool solution or whatever else you'd like to give some air. If you want to put a demo up on the big screen we can do that, we can pick up threads from past topics or start new ones.
For my part, there is some hot stuff landing in dojo 1.7 that I'd like to talk about, and I'm stuffed with ideas and conundrums from some recent experiments I've been doing with a 2d game I started working on. A couple of people have suggested we start a group project - an application, tool, game or something we can work on together. I'd like to explore the ideas and logistics around that.
We'll meet at the usual time and place:
Old Broadcasting House, 6:30pm, Wednesday the 10th August. Please come along and spread the word.
Thanks as always to NTI Leeds for helping us make this happen each month.
We'll plan on moving the discussion to the pub around 8-830pm. The Cuthbert Broderic on Millenium Sq. has room for a big crowd, and food options that can pass for dinner if you squint a little. If you can't join us at the OBH, look for us there later.
